From the perspective of a PC gamer, the Xbox and PS4 both seem to do the same thing, just the PS4 is faster, so PS4 I guess, although if I was to get a console, I would get a nintendo wiiU, since PS4 and xbox do the same thing as a PC but worse, Nintendo actually has exclusives and that sort of thing.

For the price of any of the 3 consoles you listed you could get a PS1 and a room full of games, or go retro and get a SNES or real old school with a NES.

If you can game happy with your PC why need a console?

PS4 over the xbox one for cost, and because its more powerful. also at least they have an idea which direction they are going to go for legacy games (online streaming), and they have the tech for doing it. how they actually register you old ps3 games, now thats going to be an interesting one.

PS4. Cheaper, more powerful, arguably better offering. No-brainer.

I currently own a PS4 and Xbox one also owned a Wii U but sold it as it never got played. If it was me I'd pick a PS4 at the moment as multiplats are better and bloodborne is on its way soon which looks stunning.

I bought a PS4 months ago and I'm loving it so far. It has better graphics compared to its previous models. With its features, the price is just right. Even the kids at home love it.

If you can't live without GoW or halo, get a XBone
If you can't live without Uncharted or Gran Turismo, get a PS4

If you can live without exclusives, buy a PC.

Have a look at the Alienware Alpha. They are selling fairly quick but can run most PC games and are upgradable..

PC. The alpha does sound perfect as a console replacement. Plus you get a PC to boot. And you can mod your games for a different feel or whatever you are looking for
