Started a couple of days ago on EN 10, up to level 9 now as an Orc Warlock. Might try out an Alliance character sometime at the weekend.

I've got a lvl 15 Troll Shaman, same server as mike.
Didn't get me a pre-order key, but they say on the Europe site that the second phase of the final beta will have more keys...so I'm waiting, checking, downloading the client (huuuuge)....any insider info on when the damn thing will let me play??
Also any ideas on where the Collectors Edition will be available??
Well Hello!
I'd like to know that too, but I have a sneaky feeling they've all been snapped up alreadyOriginally Posted by daverobev

im on beta 4 playing human warlock. he is lvl 5 atm and is hella fun
im thinking of starting a horde charector on beta 1 as well, maybe an orc or undead
I believe all the collectors edition boxes were sold on the day of release for the pre-orders. Shame but then I reckon all WOW fans would have liked one!

TBH they were a ripoff- the 'extras' consisted of different casing, a soundtrack cd (which i got for free in my beta key box despite not buying collectors edition) a map (which is reportadly exactly the same as the one on the bliz main site, except without helpful hints, and the map ingame is better anyway) plus a sketch book of concept art and an ingame pet (the only two features that give it some slight appeal to me, except for the fact that they expect 15 quid extra)
Yep they were a rip off, but fans of the warcraft series snapped them up.
Character update: Yesterday I travelled to the undead lands by zepplin. Did a few quests then came back! (too dark and moody there for my tastes). My character is up to level 19 and I have just found a two handed sword trainer so I have one of those!
The map is cloth, not just a print.Originally Posted by klarrix
As well as the book with concept art there is one on the lore of Warcraft.
There is also a DVD with the "making of" the game.
And a guest pass for 10 days so a friend can try the game and upgrade to a full account if they like it.
(My girlfriend bought a collector's US edition and her friend has the account which was upgraded from the 10-day test.)

Sadly, due to exam revision, I have had to stop playing world of warcraft completely for the time being I have an exam tomorrow, one on thursday and one next monday.
Hopefully by the end of monday next week I should be back on it. I am also thinking of trying out an alliance player and seeing how that goes.
How is everyone else getting on?
Thanks for reading,
Leon
My Orc Warlock is still going strong! I can get voidwalkers now, and I can make semi-useful enchantments - but it is expensive!
I've got a Level 5 (I think) Dwarf Paladin on EN Server 1 - a big hammer makes an interesting change to a spellcaster.
"Well, there was your Uncle Tiberius who died wrapped in cabbage leaves but we assumed that was a freak accident."
my warlock is now lvl 12 with a few kick ass spells under his belt
also got some training in mining (can mine tin now) and some training in blacksmith (can do some runic copper stuff )
Yay, my gnome mage hit level 40
Now he can summon portals to Ironforge and Stormwind, buy a mechanical chicken to ride (once I get 72 gold together), has funky new goggles, jumper cables so I can have a chance at ressurrecting people, and a shrink ray gun!
Also decided to learn dagger and 1-handed swords for giggles.
Got a level 13 dwarf rogue as a test to compare the melee class.
FUN!

Oh boy, am I ever missing out on some serious sounding fun!
Well, I'll just have to wait until it goes public and I can go sort meself out with a copy from my nearest games emporium.
Now, it's come to my attention that people have been askijng those with beta accounts if they would 'share' them with others.
This is against Blizzard's T+Cs and could result in the person who shared their account being banned. Blizzard have a VERY strict policy on this and, as it's beta, there is NO appeal system, once you're kicked, you're kicked and there's nothing you can do about it!
I'll ask now that anyone wishing to play the game just be patient and wait for a public, commercial release. Asking other members to share their accounts is unfair and puts un-warranted pressure on them.
Join me in drooling with anticipation and cursing myself for not getting signed up soon enough... and WAIT!
Thanks,
Deckard
