    LAN/Gamer's Cafe!

Hey me, my brother, and my dad all live in Central Wisconsin (USA) about an hour from Green Bay. What we want to do is basically rent a room on a monthly basis and then build the computers and provide the computer and software and charge people to use them. We are thinking about doing this two different ways (or more likely both ways at the same time). We either want to provide them every day at a certain time, like a normal business and then just pay an hourly rate to play. That's if we can rent a room on a monthly basis. Otherwise we were thinking of just renting a conference room at a university or hotel and doing a LAN party like thing 2-4 times a month, still providing the computers for a fee, but also allowing people to bring their own computers to show off and hook up for p2p. In both scenario's we would of course have them networked. Please ask some of your gamer friends who dont have their own computer to bring to a LAN party if they would be interested! Please find out if they would attend, and how much they would pay since they dont have to provide a computer or anything. And would those of you who attend normal LAN parties find that interesting since it would provide for more people??? Thanks guys!

Hey I couldn't fit enough poll options to get all the info I need! Just leave your comments on which of the two both you and your gamer friends without computers would attend and how much you would be willing to pay roughly.
Also if you have any ideas or comments or suggestions that would be awesome! Thanks guys I really appreciate it!

Hey again, I wrote it a little weird above. I of course understand that few or none of you are in the area and of course could not participate, but what I meant to say was ask your friends if they would participate in something SIMILIAR to this. This will be a great help as I would really like to see if anyone finds this idea interesting. Thanks!!!

I think the main issue here Yuthra is that it doesn't come across as particularly credible as an idea. You are in the states, most of us here are UK based. I certainly couldn't comment on what you asking as its a good few years since i went to a lan party at a commercial venue.

However we've had lan parties at friends houses a lot.
