I had a revelation about why the release was moved to 11th of March. I may be wrong and cynical, but. GT4 comes out on the same day, doesn't it? Anyone think that they might have tried to play on everyones excitement about gt4 - say a PC-gamer walks into a store - sees the walls covered with GT4 and then sees that theres a GT* available for pc. In any case - I am happy its going to be out soon and I hope its as good as we all hope it is.

yeah brinkster is crap, it doesnt allow remote linking, but all you have to do to get around it is drag the link to the address bar. Whats the f point tbh

ive been doing 2.22s - 2.23s on a non rubbered track, tbh i need a new wheel as i cant feel when the cars arse is spinning out. I use bonnet cam which is not the best without ff because by the time you can see the movement its almost too late, then its an utter guess to how much you need to steer against, then its fishtale madness! With force you can feel where the grip comes back. I reckon i need to use a bit of powersliding to get better times - but i reckon ive got another 1.5 - 2 seconds i can gain. Seems to handle OK in a race, i just stuck in more fuel, stiffened the anti roll a touch, and changed the tyres. Its soooo much better than the understeer -> oversteer madness of the default setup anyways. Ta

I am so incredibly harsh on tyres as well which i need to sort out - i only do 15% race distances by half way through the tyres are wrecked - and hard ones suck

yeah, avoid hard tyres, they are rocks with a very fine coat of rubber on them. They are bitches to get up to temperature and always stay underinflated. You have to pit less, but they cost you more time by being so damn slow.

Do you race online with bonnet cam? Most servers normally have Force Cockpit view turned on.

The 360 is a bit of a git when it oversteers. It has oodles of grip right up until the nanosecond it lets go and you're in the wall. If you try lowering the power diff (about 30% ish, maybe lower) it means the car is more able to turn when under power and less prone to letting it hang out, but has less torque being transfered to the floor so your acceleration suffers.

Just a bit of extra info, the French game retailers have started selling GTR already - 10 days early *slappy wristy*

And for anyone who has the game already, patch 1.3 will be available from the 8th of March....
