Anyone had a game at this yet, its fantastic just been captivated for the last two hours. Think the intro of Saving Private Ryan mixed with The Thin Red Line

I'd say its the bastard child of Call of Duty (or Moh if you prefer) and Full spectrum warrior. I keep feeling that the field of view is a bit narrow. Not being able to shoot people is weird too, although i suppose it makes you play it as you should and is more realistic.

Got my copy coming today with a bit of luck. For once I'm really looking forward to playing a WWII shooter with a touch of strategy.
What do you mean, of course you can shoot the enemy. Unless of course you're talking about your friends.Originally Posted by dkmech

You can shoot at them, but even if you see a lot of the enemy you can hardly ever hit them if they are considered to have cover. Maybe its just that accuracy is reduced a lot compared to other games. For example in COD if someone stuck half of his body out from the cover he is a dead man. In BIA there is a lot less chance of hitting them, and it seems that even if you do hit them they have an armor bonus. So you really need to flank them.

yea you cant really hit them you bullets would just fly esle where so spray and pray does not work in this game you need to use the tatical part of the game but i am enjoying right now commanding 2 teams atm only 2 more days(DD) left to complete the game!
Its not just spray and pray though, even aiming through ironsights hardly ever gets them killed, although what i sometimes do is aim at where they will stand up and let the circles go red. They then pop up and i pop themOriginally Posted by Tuding
Oh, and when you flank them you often wish that thompson had more than 20 bullets

I want this game but as a few others i have on my list it will have to wait until the end of the money for payday!

YOu have to use your team mates or you will never get anywhere in this game.
It's not that great, view is horribly restricted with that 'zoomed in' feel like all FPS console ports. Graphics are pretty ugly and the novelty soon wears off. Two germans, behind wall, flank and attack, two germans behind wall flank and attack, machine gun, flank and attack (I may be over-simplyfying slightly). Maybe it was because I was expecting somthing more like Op Flash, but I dunno what I was expecting seeing as it's pretty much an XBOX port.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
My copy arrived the other day, will it play on an IBM thinkpad T40? Negative, pay attention to the supported cards. Still, Mesh hopefully will deliver my new SLI rig tomorrow.
I quite like this game, its a little different to normal FPS.
I find that two approaches can be adopted:
1: Covering fire, Flank, Kill
2: All in charge.
I also find that it is quite easy to shoot the enemy from a distance, even if they are 'covered'. Mind you, I do play in easy mode.
8/10 from me.

Is it only my PC or does each of the levels take an absolute age to load.
Quite quick for me.

Had a feeling it would be my PC gives me an excuse to spend a few quid to upgrade it.
