So is Doom 3 Resurrection of Evil any good?
Is it a long game? How many levels?
I loved Doom3.

I loved Doom3.
i got it before it was released in the UK . i havn't actually bothered to play it yet though, i tested it for like a few minutes - action straight at the start .
i read on another forum its not very long though.. but aparently its much better than just doom 3.
My house m8 has got it, and I was watching him play it last night, its bloody awesome!! Added weapons taken from Doom 1 and 2, a version of the gravity gun and this thing that slows time down which is one of the coolest things ive seen in a game ever!!!! Kinda like bullet time
Sadly my computer doesn't run Doom3 that well so I wont be getting it just yet
I'm not likely to find out if it's good or not.I was a little disapointed after I paid £25 for Doom 3 and appart form the excellent graphics the game was a bit cack really so I'm not even going to bother paying another £25 just for a add on.
Farts are like children.....You always love you're Own.!!!
Wise Men learn from Other people's mistake's...Fool's learn from their OWN.!!!
My PC manages Doom 3 quite well, going to be getting this in the next few weeks hopefully, looks pretty good alround
I know you can get this cheaper online but £29.99 for an add on is a joke!!!
Is it really any different from Doom 3 itself?

Only dumb thing in Doom3 is the way you run across the Martian surface without wearing a helmet! What do you refuel with those oxygen tanks by the way when you're not wearing a helmet?
Besides, in the old 2002 sneak videos of Doom3 the player wears a helmet like the rest of the space marines & like in Doom1.
Bu they changed that in the final Doom3. They could have at least added a cut scene where he puts the helmet on before he opens the air lock.
I thought that was weird.
Is it the same in ROE?

Well I started playing it myself last night, but only got an hour in. Looks a little more polished than D3 & it's still as smooth. At the end of the day, it's Doom. Monsters leap out on you & you try & kill them before they kill you. Doom has never really made pretentions about being anything else.
FPS's are my first love & I unashamedly enjoyed Doom3. Hell, I even enjoyed Unreal II & to a certain extent Red Faction II. So flame me.
Unreal II did have some cool moments:
The alive alien planet, the alien dig site with the acid rain, the mechacical alien planet with the cool lens flares & the doomed space ship heading towards the star while the female computer is trying to warn everybody & (aka Alien series)
But the game was a great disapointment compared to Unreal1.
Was Red Faction 1 & 2 any good?
Did it have any alien martian civilisation like doom3? Or do you just fight corporal marines?
RF2 was human combatants mainly with the odd zombie. Wha was frustrating was being able to blow some walls & not others.
In UII the placing of gun turrets & baricades for defence was a nice touch. Bu how short was that game!
HL2 even was disapointing & at points monotanous & repetetive. No game is ever perfect for everyone eh.
Well these were perfect for me:
Doom1
Heretic
Hexen 1
Hexen II - Portal of Praeus Expansion Pack (Awesome Final Boss Fight with Buddha Demon. Only Boss fight in a FPS that ends up destroying most of the level)
Unreal 1
The missing helmet in Doom3 was something ID overlooked.
I guess that guy must have some pretty strong lungs, being able hold his breath outside the Mars surface for so long!

What there are Zombies in RF aswell? In RF1, RF2 or in both?
Any Alien Artifacts?
The defense Levels in Unreal II sucked by the way.
