Brothers in arms sound problem

Hey

Started playing BIA again but noticed I cannot get 5.1 sound from the game, I only ever get stereo and can find no option in the <limited> options menu to alter this. I still using the onboard AC97 on my mobo - but this is the only game I have this sort of troubles with. Any ideas?

do you have 5.1 Surround sounds speakers because my AC 97 driver has whats called " Jack Sense".. which is really a sensor of what you plug in the Audio I/O ports....

Also, check to see if whether BIA options show up the other settings instead of just Master volume

Hi Vincent, yeah I have creative T7900s and they work just fine with other games, apart from BIA. I have no option other than master volume in the audio options, should I see more?

Solved it. In case anyone else has this problem - I edited my bia.ini for that profile and amended the audio section thus;

Use3DSound=True
UseDefaultDriver=True
CompatibilityMode=False
UsePrecache=True
ReverseStereo=false
<snip>

Full 3d sound and a full smile on my face (ears).
