Me Personaly will be getting a Xbox 360 on release (end of year) and then a Revolution when released next year.

I had absolutely no interest in consoles until I learned that Yak Minter's latest light synthesizer comes with the new xbox. I've been a fan since the commodore 64 days, so I might have to get one.

I think that I will most likely go for a PS3. For a few reasons:

1) Xbox 360 seems too close to a PC for me. A lot of PC games are to be ported to it eg. Quake 4. I'd rather keep my PC upgraded for PC Games.

2) My mate will get a 360, so I may as well get a PS3.

I certainly won't be buying one as soon as they come out. Not unless I have ALOT of spare money and there are some AAA titles at launch. No no I will NOT get one at launch. Too much money, would rather spend on PC bits .

I currently have a PS2, but I havent used it for about a year. I'd really like one of the new gen consoles, but I have a feeling I wont use it. I just need the space/room and money and I'll probably get hooked, for the mean time I guess I'll stick to PC gaming

Probably a PS3 for me, I've got too many PS2 games I like and want to replay.

Well, I've already got a PS2 which is slowly dying so it would be nice to get a PS3 even if it's just to play by old games.

Other than that slight bias, I'll see what games get released for each system. I'll probably get whatever system Pro Evolution Whatever gets primarily developed for and any system with GTA will probably get my money too.

I can't rule out getting a Nintendo Revolution, but it's anything like the GC then I won't. Games for the GC took way too long to get released in Europe and there weren't enough quality exclusive titles which don't feature a plumber or an elf.

You know, I'm REALLY torn.

On the one hand, you've got the Xbox 360 with Halo 3 and all the goodness that is Xbox live.....but then, you've got the PS3 which is twice as powerful as the Xbox 360, and has all sorts of other cool features.

I had a PS1, then jumped ship to the Xbox (instead of PS2) after I saw how much more powerful it was than the PS2....but now I just can't decide. In general I prefer the Japanese RPG's that Sony offer (and all the other innovative Jap games that get made for their machine) over the fairly tried-and-tested western games. And power is almost always a good thing, as long as it's used well.
I've heard some devs say that they're not even sure how they're gonna use all the power the 360 offers. If that's the case, I wonder if the extra power provided by the PS3 is really worth having?

I think basically, I'll end up with a 360 for sure due to the early launch date, my existing catalogue of Xbox games that I can play on it, my existing Live account, and Halo 3.

Depending how flush I am at the time, I may be persuaded to get a PS3 as well ....it probably won't take much persuation either, haha.

i will get a revolution.. cause it is lush and would be worth it for whatever myamoto is cooking up alone and the small crop of "proper" 1st party game.. also i have this plan involving a mini screen and a psp whupper when i saw its size.. will keep my pc for other gaming.. having said that i may buy a ps3 as i think the cell processor could make it pretty specila .. but only if they sort out that horrible controller

I think Nintendo lost the plot as soon as they launched the N64 and haven't sorted it out since.
