    Angry Neverwinter Nights wont Launch!

Hi guys. I just got both Neverwinter Nights and the expansion, and then installed them both, downloaded and updated the patch, and everytime I double click the file then click play to play the game obviously, it wont start. It just makes the cd turn really fast then it'll come to a stop after about 25 seconds. I went to support and they said download all the latest drivers for your sound card (well I have onboard sound so that dont help), update the vidcard drivers (did that and nothing happend, and then they said do the CTRL-ALT-DELETE and end some processes, but when I did it just kinda made my system go haywire and didnt help either. Does anyone know why this wont work or know how to fix it?

    Thankyou.

Can you post your system spec please?

I had a problem a while ago running NWN with an old sis730 motherboard with onboard graphics. NWN requires open gl and the onboard graphics didn't support it.

Have you had any other problems with other games?

    Copy protection by anychance ?

Some drives have trouble reading certain protections, such as safedisk.

yeah, sounds about right. NWN has a lot of copy protection issues, khook is one process which really aggravates it

patching up to the latest version via the built-in update utility can help.

also hitting ctrl-alt-del & killing any processes related to cd burning.

When I first bought NWN it wouldnt launch until I updated it to the latest game version, weird I know, but id bet money on that being the same problem.
