battlefield 2 cant play online

Hi ive had bf2 for quite a while and have a strange problem with it whenever i connect to a server the game gets to "verifying client data" then goes back to the server browser and i get the message "connection to the server was lost" now.. my internet is still working and on ive tried disabling all my firewalls opening all ports etc..., nothing really starting to pee me off a couple of times ive got past it by alt tabbing while the game is loading waiting then going bk into the game and its connected to the server properly .. any 1 having this prob / solved it . really baffling me . I am on wannado and am using the wanadoo livebox.

have you tried a full reinstall? ie uninstall and delete the bf2 folder in mydocs then reinstall then patch straight upto 1.3 then play

what firewall software do you use?

I had troubles with zone alarm because I couldn't get out of the game screen to enable access. If you can manually enable BF2 access for both access and server then it may sort out your problems.
