Just got off the phone with them again, they said they have no idea how it was allocated might have been numbers out of a hat.
Kind of defeats the point of pre-ordering, pretty much totally changed my opinion of play.com now

Play are taking the mick, a guy here at work ordered one in september and his is being shipped tonight!

I've just placed an order on MicroAnvika.com for the xbox 360 and then called their customer service department. They cannot confirm when exactly it will be delivered, but did assure me that I would have it before christmas. This is the bundle pack with harddrive, and I'm not fussed about being first to have it ... just to have it before xmas. Anyone else looking for this should check out their website at www.microanvika.com.
Platinum: They gave an idea how many there would likely be available at launch fairly early on, and I believe this figure has been exceeded in preorders. They appear to be trying to supply a constant stream rather than an initial batch with months of delays between batches, so that every supplier is dealt with fairly. As a whole I'd have to say they are handling it fairly well compared to some console launches. I'd far rather MS's approach than Sony's approach of launch one country at a time and sue people importing their PSP to the markets still waiting for them, don't you?

lol, thats a really good idea! Nothing would ever come of it, but it would be intresting to see what they reply
