Certain ones do, as they are non region. I think ridge racer and DOA are. But check.

Well that's not strictly true, some games work, some don't.

    Call of Duty 2 US
    Condemned: Criminal Origins US
    Gun US
    Quake 4 US
Tony Hawks : American Wasteland US

All the above work on any region Xbox 360.

Dead or Alive 4 US (Console needs to be set to 60Hz or controllers won't work)
Ridge Racer 6 US (doesn't matter if 50Hz or 60Hz)

Those two work on PAL Xbox 360s

And lastly, this lot are Japanese 360 Games with English voice/text/menu support:

Ridge Racer 6 (Complete English, but not region-free)
Perfect Dark Zero (Complete English, but not region-free)
Project Gotham Racing 3 (Complete English, but not region-free--confirmed by Bizarre)
Dead or Alive 4 (Complete English, but not region-free)
King Kong (Complete English, not region-free)
Kameo (Complete English, but not region-free, confirmed by Rare)

    Hope this helps.

Not sure how true it is but I heard that the more recent copies of some of the games were now region protected. Probably just rubbish though.
