everything was going to well for it not to be delayed but it could be tactics all top games semm to be delayed anyway just hope the delay sort all the probs out itll still be out before D3 tho

No surprise but let's not be too hard on Valve...
The first Half Life was scrapped completely remember and the levels completely redesigned from scratch and only the best parts we reincorporated. Result? Perhaps the best story/script driven FPS experience to date.
Admittedly the bar has been raised into the stratosphere for this outting but of all people Vavle aren't scared to make people wait for a properly finished and polished product.
That's just speculation of course and there could be a major disaster going on at Valve but fingers crossed there isn't

They'll probs try everything they can to get it released before christmas to boost sales, especially now as doom3 won't be till next year so there's less competition.
yup could be technical planning by giving the team more time to finish of odd ends they wanted todo but couldnt due to the release time and wait to christmas to earn a bigger %
I just watched the super high res exe film version of the town.
The physics were nice, but the textureing seemed very bad to me. I really hope that it was just on a low setting, otherwise im not impressed.
