I'm a big fan of running games on the wrong OS, so now I'm curious to see how your games fare.
This might end up as a big list, so I reckon it'll have to be in easily charted form. Take the following example:
The first column relates to whether the game installs at all (without hacking about unneccessarily). The second as to whether the installed game runs. The third as to whether the game causes a security warning dialog when you run it. The forth as to whether it runs "normally" (a bit slower than XP is to be expected). The fifth and final for whether the game integrates into the "Games" section of the Start menuCode:Title | Vista | Installs | Runs | Non-Root | Performs | Games ------------------------------+-------+----------+------+----------+----------+------- American McGee's Alice | x64 | YES | YES | YES | YES | YES Fur Fighters | x64 | NO | NO | NO | NO | NO
Be sure to state whether you're using the 32 or 64-bit version of Vista. I'm gonna put as many of my games as I can to the test this weekend.
Oh, and if something doesn't appear in the Games screen, then wait a bit - games have been adding themselves, with new artwork and ESRB ratings, as time goes by - which is rather cool.
