Game Recommendation Sites

Hi All,
do you know of a game recommendation site or a site with one that I could train up to recommend titles that I might like. I do all the usual stuff like read reviews and I've tried training amazon but it just want to sell me Ned for Speed and the like. Do the big American sites do this? like 1up, Gamespot or IGN. Is there a better UK-centric site I could join or should I just read more?

Just a wee (wii?) thought.

As for preferred systems, just the PS2 and Xbox these days I haven't been able to upgrade since my 9600XT Half Life bundle.
