    Rainbow Six: Vegas for PC

I've been searching the net for a demo of Rainbow Six: Vegas but all I found were some movies and Xbox360 demos. It seems like there isn't a demo available at all. But why? Ubisoft would be able to sell more, since people get a chance to try it out and buy if they like it. But now you have to make a choice to either buy the game or save yourself the money without ever knowing how the game would've been to play.

This is kind of crazy, I think. I mean... am I the only one not wanting to spend my hard earned money on something I only have read about?

Furthermore, I tried to download and install an illegal version with BitTorrent (which didn't work). Just to try the first chapter of the game and then choosing to buy it or not. After all... after a couple of hours single player your finished and from that point onwards all you basically want is online gaming, right?

So... to shorten a long story: will there ever be a demo version available or do I need to rely on reviews and opinions of others?

UKMuFFiN, that seems to be a link to a demo of Rainbow Six Lockdown back in Jan last year - or am I missing something?

I too am looking for a demo of this game after hearing very mixed reviews...

Sorry, my bad. No I can't find one either. I've heard computer specs need to be quite high though

Nah, it looks real good - a good look at what the new unreal engine can do.

I've heard some mixed things about what you really need. Some people say a GeForce 7600GT or ATi equivalent is sufficient to play the game at normal settings. Since I own a GeForce 7600 GT and a 1920x1200 display I would like to make full use of this.

However, Day of Defeat: Source (one of my favorites) is playable for me at 1920x1200 with HDR lighting on, but it's on the edge. I can imagine a game like Vegas with the new Unreal 3 engine is better performing, but also produces more eye candy.

Well, there doesn't seem to be a demo available, sadly enough. I'm actually wondering if this is a stripped down version of the Unreal 3 engine. In other words: is this what we can expect from Unreal 3 or will be Unreal 3 be even better (maybe with full DirectX 10 support)?
