On a similar subject, I dropped some of my mp3s on the floor and was wondering how to get a load of dirty scratches and marks off the mp3 files. Can anyone help?

the only way to really "repair" a cd is by using a sander like the machine holden is talking about, it basically a big orbital sander that uses differnt gradients of sand paper like material, some with water some not, then a buffing witha very fine grain polish.

skip doctors are a waste of time and so are all the machines that are sold to the public really.

The music shop in Lerwick Shetland has one of these. I think they charge a pound or two a disk. Something like that. I'm surprised more indipendant stores don't do this. Especially ones that have second hand sections
