i know i said i'd make glasgow, but i had work commitments
Bristol is an awsome city for a night of debautchery. Some local really should plan the activities for those who plan on just getting the morning train back

Wheres the PICTURES!
Wow! What a wicked day.
---BEFORE---
We started off at about 8.30am, then popped over to Tescos acroos from Chez Tigs for fuelling the car, Agent and Funkstar! (Petrol, MaccyD's and Starbucks in that order)
Then off we went down the M1 where Funkstar and I were trying to explain the intricasies of a Croissant to Agent.
"It looks like something out of Half Life 2!"
Discussions about the 2 types of Windmills ensued while we trundled down the M25 (surprisingly not busy too!) then the M4.
It was pointed out halfway through that the Tigsmobile was a very smooth ride as driving fast (but of course NEVER over the speed limit *cough*) was very smooth for the 2 regal passengers in the back.
More general discussion ensued, mainly about how fun HEXUS meets are. We've now racked up 11 between us.
--BRISTOL--
Due to the wonders of modern technology we arrived at Trenchard Street Car park (£2.60 at weekends, Bristolians!) at about 11, so we made good time really.
We then didnt have a flippin' clue where we were so I got very excited when I could use my Tomtom and PDA in Walking mode! It got us to Corn Street (incidentally it was only accross the big road, but I had fun anyway).
We found a cash machine across the road from the Commercial rooms, where we were accosted by TiG (who knows me anyway, so he cheated) so we all trundled with our wallets charged into the pub.
Wandering around we spotted (gasp!) a Hexus T-shirt, which can only mean one thing... it was our Trusty News Admin Steve "The Wikipedia".
More chatting and drinking ensued (mainly about Tigs being hungry, and whether having pancakes was a good idea right before lunch) and other such random topics such as the Windows in Bristol "That <upand down motion> sort, or that <side to side motion> sort"
Fat_Jez then turned up at about 11 after making sure Mrs fat_jez was happy with her new episodes of Lost (well done that man!) and Elyk and Rastaman turned up soon after.
The wind was causing some havoc with the door, fat_jez being the one on the end of the table was volunteered to keep closing it (was breezy!) HEXUS.Doorman!
After lunch (Tigs = Happy tummy) it was decided that we should go and find the Clifton Suspension Bridge. It was a nice day for a walk so we did. Fat_jez then morphed into the HEXUS.TourGuide brilliantly, even managing to walk backwards while giving us interesting tit-bits of information!
We wandered down (passig LloydsTSB's Media offices, where Tigs has been before) to the SS Great Britain where we had a short discussion about rowers. We didn't have any in our group, so it was ok. Cue a few photos and off we went... UPHILL! nooooooo
we had a very pleasant walk up the hill to clifton, pausing on the way to look at a shop with Geeky stuff in (Optimus Prime plz anyone who wants to buy it for me).
Carrying on up the hill we got to Clifton (posh part) Village and then onto the Bridge.
Elyk contemplated Rolling down the hill, but it was decided this wasn't a good idea, while Funkstar trundled off to take pictures. The discussion followed a route about people going splat and spatulas.
Rastamanblues had to leave us at this point to get back to the car for an offroading day.
The next stop was a pub for a well earned drink. Steve decided that the Coronation Tap (CIDER!) was a good idea, but having tried the back access and getting no-where (cue smutty joke) the front was tried to find that it only opened at 7pm
Jez, in his roll as tourguide scouted out the area and found the Mall Pub, with its NOt-So-Secret garden. This garden came with scary gloves attached to the railings... very Blair Witch.
Agent then abused Tigs so much that she decided she didn't like him. The running theme of the day really.
We went insode where we found some tellys showing the football for TiG so he was happy, and the rest of us chatted about stuff again. there were some rather good inscriptions on the wall.
I was starting to flag by this point (not enough sleep and a 2 hours drive) but soon woke up when Childrens telly (mainly chorlton and the wheelies, jez's ringtone) which allowed Tigs to break into her repertoire of childrens telly songs (bob and shaun). Also discussed was how to get down the hill, skiing and street luge were suggested.
Steve left us to go and pick the GF up and then revise, with re-heated cottage pie for dinner.
we all wandered back down the hill to a CD shop where a band was playing - this was bad as it was only encouraging Funkstars plastic fetish.
We got back down to the hippodrome to meet Ikonia who was late. this bit is the fun part as trying to guess which random person could be a meet member is quite entertaining.
Ikonia turned up so we went for a quick drink on King street then called it a day.
We said our goodbyes and went our seperate ways.
All in all a fantastic day. Thanks everyone for turning up!
Pictures come later, need to get them off Neils camera at my dad's later on.... watch this space.
/edit: I also need to get out of bed, and that's not happening for a while!
nice account there, pretty much summed the day up nicely there, although you did miss out freak girl in the commercial rooms complete with rainbow colours and wat sounded like cowbells!
I never CONTEMPLATED it, I SUGGESTED it. And I must have missed the bit about spatulas.
Having met the people that were there, I noticed three things:
1) I know that I've seen Steve before, but I've never actually met him before...odd
2) Fat_jez looks (and sounds) almost exactly like my maths teacher. But he doesn't teach maths.
3) Funkstar IS the guy off the strongbow ad (total first pint refreshment!)
Also, when I walked into the Commercial Rooms, I somehow missed the HEXUS t-shirts that both Steve and Tiggerai had on (idiot). But I was looking for the Tigger.
Twas a good day all round, methought
edit: I DON'T look like Les Dennis, well pointed out whoever it was

The red jacketted rainbow tights, purple doc martin booted wierdo women with bells was definitely amusing, i didn't suffer the same want to kill as Tigs did.
I notice several of Ade's comments have not been requoted here. Especially the one in the Mall Pub, that definitely provided some amusement
By the end of the day i definitely think Ade loves women organising his life
What with the stories of the magic washing bin, and the fact that tiggerai holds all his diaried information on what he's doing as well as having a direct line to his mum made me laugh.
Very good day.
