what's your handycap?

I'm rubbish, but my brother who is 13 plays off 18, but I can see that coming down by about 5 shots this season, as he plays twice everyday in the summer. I wish I had the time to play golf that often.

Those are the days. I lived about 500 yards from the first tee, so when I was a junior I used to play 2 or 3 times a day, just going home to be fed and watered.

Used to get 54 holes in sometimes on a sunday in mid-summer. On the first tee at 8-ish for a practice round, play a team match in the afternoon, then play the Sunday medal when we got back. If I play 18 now I need a few sausage sarnies and several pints before I feel human again

And the other big difference is I can hit a 3 iron further than I used to hit my 3 wood then, but I'm about 10 shots worse at the end. Practice, practice, practice as me old coach used to say !

Wayyy back when I played, I played off 12. Mostly at The Great Hay (Telford), but occasionally at courses all over the country taking customers out on a jolly

My handicap is that I can't hit anything bigger than a 7 iron, and even then it's unknown as to which direction it's going to go!
