Expedia in other countries

Looking for a flight from Hannover in Germany to Nice, France.

On English expedia it's £139

German expedia it's £142

French it's £106

These are all with the same airlines, which are Lufthansa there and Air Swiss back. How can they be different prices in different countries? Something to do with VAT? Also, do you reckon it's fine to book on the french site and get it cheaper, or are there any problems with this? Has anyone ever done it and looked into it?

I've heard of someone booking a complete multi stop US trip with Expedia.com instead of .co.uk and saved a few hundred. I don't think there is any problem with this.

Could be wrong though, i've never done it
