    Winamp

    If I really must listen to music on the move, then it's through my N73 flashed into Music Edition.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Hate my Sony. Really bad software, complains there is no valid mp3s when others can play them, and the Atrac stuff is rubbish.
    Hate ipod's, and the itunes stuff. Talk about "big brother" nuff said.
    Like mp3 players that are like usb drives, drag and drop, and use AAA batteries for a quick change of power when they run down. No point in taking a usb charged player camping.

    I'm with you toadoftoadhall, my ancient Archos Recorder 20 (http://www.amazon.com/Archos-Jukebox.../dp/B0000633EO) was bought in 2001, has never broken, takes AA rechargables (on my 4th set) gives me 8hr playback and uses standard USB A cables and AC/car adapters... ...oh and I use it for 2 hours a day playing podcasts on my commute...

    Oh and it looks like a standard HD as far as Windows (and Linux) are concerned...

    I waited for years for other companies to come up with a serious rival to the ipod. then the nano came out and nothing in that category could touch it, except maybe sound.

    So i gave in and got an 8gb nano, its flawless, only thing it could do with is sony's mega bass and it would actually be perfect for me.

    That was a year ago and i'm still waiting on other companies to come up with good alternatives. i'm especially disappointed with sony

    pretty much love my 30GB (or is that GiB?) 5.5th generation ipod. I stick any cd in the drive, it downloads it to itunes, i stick in my ipod and it syncs, music is easy to find and the quality is good.

    I spend enough time messing around with other things on the computer, when it comes to music i just want to select a track and hear it, occasionally set up a playlist or ..... actually thats all i want to do.

    Apple at least got that right.
