Im goin to Manchester tomorrow for a Brainshare Update from our consultants. I can't wait, Im kinda a Novell fan and havn't ever been to an event like this

Any one else going by any chance? Unlikely I spose, but you never know.

The even finishes at 13:30 though so I'll have a look round the town centre while im there, I live in south wales so im not gonna hurry back. I've noticed theres an apple store there so will take a gander at that, anything else worth seeing?

Affleck's Palace is a great place to have a nosey around, loads of little weird independent shops and things.

Also near to that is a place called The Vinyl Exchange which has been selling used CDs (and vinyl, natch) for years. An absolutely MASSIVE selection there of all sorts of stuff. I don't go in there very often these days but that's mainly beacuse I'd probably spend £stupid.

Just noticed that the office you're going to is in the Science Park, which is near to Oxford Road where the Universities are. There's loads of places to eat and drink there; there's the Kro Bar which is expensive but nice, and if you're a veggie then you HAVE to go to On The Eighth Day which is Manchester's premier veggie/fairtrade shop and cafe. I've been to the 8th day cafe a few times even though I'm not a veggie - they do really really nice freshly made smoothies and the food portions are absolutely massive. Friendly service too.

Was cool, had a little walk round the wednesday night when I got there, had a kebab, then went round the Arndale thing after the meeting, nice shopping centre, I liked the apple store.

So yeh, had a good time, nice city is Manchester.

Different story this morning though>
