Nah, i'm made of stronger stuff than that! I will never succumb to WoW
I'm playing an old skool turn based game which i played for about 5 years until real life took hold. It's bloody good to be back! (i have realised that I made a name for myself too... hehehe)
FUNKSTAR: Don't do it. it's not worth it.
FYI anyone who is in mobile phone contact with me... my phone has just died a death so I can't reply till later.
Calmed down at work now, no longer feeling like punching everyone who attempts to talk to me, just one or 2 people....
so, its nearly home time, and therefore beer time
abuse comes later
hahhaahhaa - I've got no mobile as well. it died Monday and since then for the first 24 hours I felt like I'd lost an apendage to my body.
After that I didn't care and now I'm thinking of not even getting another one at all.
All this being contactable 24/7 is bad for our mental and sometimes physical health
already done. trying to build some upper body strength etc. arms are like jelly right now. And it kills a good hour and a half of th day.
What? again? you really don't have much luck with phones do you. Did it involve a soya latte this time?
i'm sure i had upper body strength once, then i discovered Everquest, and then WOW....
too tired to type now
ahhh, that kind of dead phone. i thought you mean the permenant kind
no...
I can't afford Soya Lattes at the moment, so my phone is safe for now.
I'm not contactable 24/7 as I keep my phone on silent, so I'm contactable on my terms... it works really well.
Off home now, i'm the last of my team to leave!
Well i'm definitely feeling more than fiesty now. Only just finished working. Everything is a mess, IT manager who has been told he's finished with the company (end of his current contract and he's out of here) has set about causing chaos.
He's swapped our ADSL provider on wednesday without letting anyone technical know. Sadly we have some rather important static routes on the connection and when i get an e-mail from our current supplier saying he's seen the MAC request go through, i went and found out what the hell was going on. Lucky i got the e-mail at 3pm so i could sort everything out, main company MX record being one of the things at risk.
It does mean it does look like i'll be taking over IT as a side task and getting my first minion to order about, but god damn i've got a list of things broken as long as i can think about.
A company that wants everything now and hates spending money.
The directors have no idea about hiring decent technical people and one this week i assisted interviewing was wanting £35k, i swear i wouldn't have paid him 10k. He cracked in 5minutes, didnt' answer a single SIMPLE question right, it must have been the most bull**** CV, MCSE2003 and Cisco CCNA and can't tell me anything about ANYTHING to do with either qualification.
I pray i get my way and find a decent graduate, driven and willing to learn and put in the hours. Anyone know anyone fitting the bill?

I've seen some hilarious CVs, tech qualifications proudly listed but when you ask them painfully simple questions they almost always haven't got a clue.
Way too tired to be feisty. A weekend of work and travelling awaits, yay!

blerg
only silver lining is that my boss is off sick today, really couldnt face him today like this.
self inflicted i spose, but i ran into a couple of friends last night that i hadnt seen in a while
any excuse really
No sympathy, all self inflicted.
I am HORRENDOUSLY busy this week, and I've got a client meeting (i know! They're actually letting me out of the office!) with Ofsted this afternoon so I'm a bit smarter dressed, which I hate. (proper shoes, black trousers etc yuk)
BUT I've got a new housemate moving in at the end of the month, so money worries are lifted a bit!
