    Ryanair - changing flights

    Good morning everyone,

I recently booked 16 tickets on Ryanair to go to Brussels for my 21st for a couple of days. Turns out two of them can't go...and someone I didn't book in would like to, so I need to change one name in the booking of 16.

I read on the website that they charge you about £45 to change the name on a ticket -wtf?! Do you guys know if there's anyway around this? What if I told them I'll give them a ticket back in return for changing the name?

It just seems outrageous that they can charge that much just to edit a name on a computer. It must take all of 2 minutes. If you know anything that would help please tell me... should I just bitch and moan until they let me have my way, or are they fixed?

    Thanks!

    Thats Ryanair for you

if you dont like it the try paying full price BA prices instead.

a friend of mine flys for them and they treat their staff the same way.

Every airline does this. I've had to do it with Flybe before, they charge about £30 I think to change the name on the ticket. I don't know why they do it, it's "administration" fees. Personally I think it's an outrage, because with the advanced computer systems they have nowadays, it should merely take them all of one minute to do.

To be fair, it's broadcasting themselves as primates, because if they're charging £45 to change the name on the ticket, then it means they must be having to go through a lot of trouble to do so which would also mean that their computer systems aren't advanced enough to be able to achieve such a simple task with ease.

    Think about it.

Exactly, if they're charging such low prices for the flights, they have to make their money somewhere, this is one of the ways.
