Opening ISO file

1. What program could be used to open an ISO file?

2. I would like to put my CD / DVD games into my hard disc so I not have to change the CD / DVD if i would like to play another game. What program would you recommend for this purpose? Would also be nice if you could say something about your experience with the program.

if you are on about mounting it, use daemon, tis free (properly free, not dodgy free)

An iso file is a cd or DVD image, so is intended for burning to a cd/dvd. But you can open it fine with winrar to read the files in it.

2.
Alcohol120% or demon tools. Daemon tools is free, and I've never had a problem with either. Using them both for years and years. Very convenient for swapping images around. You may need a decent burner to get a decent image of your games.

Daemon tools as it emulate some copy protection systems which for me were available when using Clone Drive...

Worked for me

I use it for extracting MPEG data from video dvd's, but it should be fine for copying games as well. There is a facility to copy images i believe. And yep, daemon tools is the best for mounting from my experience (game iso's work fine).

I'd say Alcohol 120%.

If you want all your games on your hard drive as CD/DVD images then just create a load of virtual devices and mount all your images on them... that way you never even need to change the image or change CD
