Who Smokes?

I'm a lapsed non-smoker at the mo, stopped for over a year, then started having the odd one down the pub

Hoping the no smoking in pub will kick me up the bum once more.

yes i smoke, i have 2 packs of baccy left and will not be buying more once there gone..

Never saw the point in it tbh so never have.

Exactly what I think. And costs too much as well. And smells. And ain't doing you any favours in the health department either. And from next week, too much hassle. Think that's all.

However, both my parents smoke a lot, but neither my sister or I do, which seems to buck to trend.

I so dont want the rule to come in on 1st July, i wont be able to bare it clubbin and not being able to have a cigarette, i am going to be going crazy, then when i go out for a fag they probably wont let me back in the club

Never had a habit. Or a rabbit for that matter. But I do ocasionally have the odd rollie mainly after a couple of beers. I can't remember the last time I had a manufactured ciggy, they taste chemical to me now.

My main intake of tobacco used to be with marijuana but I gave that up a long time ago. The ban won't affect me but I still think a compromise was a better solution than a total ban.

I have been looking forward to this ban for so long now I don't care what people say about rights being taken away, it's something that should have been done a long time ago. The only thing about the ban that I don't agree with is that smoking has been banned in private bars and clubs.

Okay I'll put my hand up and admit to trying to give up - gave up for over a month and then fell back into the routine.

Now though it can range from none a day upto about 12-14 a day depending on environment and what I'm doing.

However, figure this - some nights when I go out and get trolleyed the urge goes and I've been known to go clubbing for 6 hours and not have a single cig.

Am currently a bit over 4 weeks into quitting using a combination of patches + inhalator. Seems to be a good mix - patches deal with the base level of nicotine, and the inhalator deals with those sudden "have to have a cig now or someone's going to die horribly" moments...

i'm not voting on this poll for another 4 days, im 26 days off the cancer sticks atm, and plan to stay that way.

I agree, but this is just asking for an argument against the smokers who believe it's their right to smoke in a public place and irritate other people


And Rave, you think your life would be that much less enjoyable for lack of smoking? That's worrying..
