Yep, here it is from another angle. The glass is 3.5" at the top, and its wingspan is bigger than the glass, although the pic makes it look smaller than it is.

A flatmate of mine caught one that looked exactly the same the other day in York! Not the kind of thing you'd expect to see fly in through the window!

That is revolting, I can't stand moths.
I have this weird thing with moths. Even though I know they can't hurt me they really get me riled up. Can't be in the same room as one!
Goes back to when I was younger and hiding in a hedge and a huge moth was right in my face. Really scared me and to this day I still can't stand them.
