for the last two days i've been trying to get the complete set of open solaris disks. so far tryed to download the dvd. for some reason they are unable to supply it as one file. they have to split them up in to 3 files which then need to be joined together to create the file. one word: fail

the iso is unusable using there instructions beforehand the files pass a md5 sum

so i try the cd set file 1 done file 2 done file 3 fail file4 done file 5 done retry file 3 fail file 3 fail .

godamn makes me want to give up

I've had problems getting Solaris ISO's in the past, using wget on one of my Linux boxes to grab the file rather than a web browser has worked in the past for me.

ZFS is available in build 27a of OpenSolaris and Solaris Express: Community edition.

methinks I have a working DVD which I believe I can copy for you (anyone want to comment on the legality of this before I commit?) if you're interested?

EDIT I tell a lie, I have Solaris 10, not Opensolaris.

yup just noted its in 27a - read a little more and you'll notice its not actually the full setup more "compatability" mode with some features. Not all of the enterprise features are included, but if your interested still worth looking at.
