Now summer's here, where to buy cheap alcohol?

Now we're all dragging out the bbq and spending long afternoons in the sun with a beer, want to know where you get your alcohol the cheapest?

Looking at things like beer(obviously), magners, spirits(like southern comfort etc). Beers normally good in supermarkets I think but where is cheapest for things like magners and soco or other spirits.

Are they cheaper online or supermarket?
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

France - you're on the coas, why not borrow a trannie and get away for the weekend, and fill up on your way home?

Or just grab a tranny and have weekend of debauchery?

You're right - you can only get slightly better savings in France, but I just love doing it.

    Makro as stated above!

I find that spirits there (well the ones i drink) are much cheaper than shop prices, a bottle of grey goose works out about £8 cheaper than supermarkets etc.

France, man. £3.50 for 24 stubbies of 5% beer is, with the possible exception of the occasional Christmas supermarket offer, less than half what you'll pay for the very cheapest beer over here. Add drinkable wine from 65p a bottle (though it's best to pay £1 or so for red), and £10 a litre for spirits on the ferry, and it's a no-brainer.

Pop up to Belgium if you smoke- £3 for 50g of rolling baccy, about £2.50 IIRC for 20 cigs. For some reason you can buy individual packets of fags at the bar on the ferry far cheaper than you can get them in the onboard shop- About £2.75 vs. £4. I have no idea why this is, but I always buy a couple of packs, for occasions when rollies aren't convenient.
