    File recovery program for Vista

As the title says, i need a file recovery program for vista.

Just deleted a few folders of pictures and really need them back.

Not done anything else to the drive, so they should be recoverable.

    huge thanks

    Nice one.

I was just about to ask if tht one was any good. Downloaded the demo and it found them, so i guess i'll stump up the cash and get it

Well worth the $40 asking price.

Not got system back-up set up within Vista? Cos you can restore selected files from that too, depending on how badly you fubarred Vista to need to restore it anyway...

Would the system backup and restore have trapped 2.2GB of photos on a seperate partition?

Active Undelete worked like a charm. A good tool to add to my collection of system utilities

Depends if you set it up to do that or not...

My entire C drive and two folders on my D drive get backed-up once a week.

But that Undelete sounds like a handy tool to have in the armoury against PICNIC errors.

Backup and restore wouldn't have worked in this case then, i'd only just moved them to that drive 5 minutes before. I was sorting them into folders and messed up by deleting the wrong ones

Yes, Dareos, they were US photos. all 16.5GB of them (in RAW), something like 1,500 in total

I'm using getbackdata right at this moment after one of my backup drives decided to go nuts.

Very good system but takes a long time.
