"He is the classic"
That guy should have a duet with this guy: http://youtube.com/watch?v=6YWr9Zkvw50
To be honest though, I am no better. Maybe I should give them credit for confidence?
OK, so far I've never watched any of this genre of tv. Due to your posts however, I have spent the last 15 minutes watching your links and more. There was one girl auditioning who was terrible but was convinced she is going to be a star, and I think she is right, only she will be starring in WWE and not on stage.
Hilarious
^ Confident BUT deluded? Certainly, there are people who wouldn't sing in front of a crowd even though are a lot better than they think. Those participants are kinda the opposite
@vinnyT: Not sure about WWE, but this girl seems to suffer some aggressive tendencies too.. although the host managed to one up her

My ears are hurting again! Just because people say you are good, doesn't actually mean you are!
All these are last years !!! Now we have a whole new lot to watch .
I'm not sure you realise how this show works people.
They're delusional, but it's underhand.
Let's imagine the scenario.
You're a stranger person. A bit of a freak, you go to a karaoke with your friends and everyone cheers and claps and loves it. (If you've never been to a karaoke before this is how it works - if you're good you get cheered, if you're awful you get adored! - I personally am a good singer yet I have lost 3 karaoke competition finals (1) To someone who could sing Shakira absolutely spot on [no complaints from me there] (2) To a fat, white American male who murdered "My Humps" and (3) To my mate Ginger Dave singing Gay Bar whilst dancing. - Enough said).
So you go to a few more karaoke's and people continue to cheer and chant for more. Your "friends" tell you how good you are.
You decide to go to X Factor.
This is where people are confused.
1st 3 days of the competition are off air in front of producers.
They put through the very best, and very worst of the thousands upon thousands of people they see.
(How do you think they get that background bit of the really crap ones? Where they follow them around their town etc)
Note how that Mr Judge and the Chicken Farmer man both talk about how people tell them how good they are on Karaoke's.
They put through the worst singers - the karaoke ones, who are already convinced that they're good, and then they get put through? Now they're sure!
Why do you think they're so shocked when they get told no? It's the ultimate of cruelty (but GREAT TV).
