Where is the start of Battlestar Galactica?

OK, new to my Amazon rental scheme, I thought I'd try out the new (well, not 70's) version of Battlestar Galactica. Thinking to start at the beginning, I pick Season One, Disc One.

The disc appears to be labelled correctly, but when I start playing the first episode ('33') it starts with "previously on Battlestar Galactica" as if it's mid-way through the season. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, and what the actual start of the season is?

    Thanks!

are you sure you've got season one,

are you sure the first disk is not setting the picutre for the plot ?

Does season 1 include the pilot mini movie ?
    It is Inevitable.....

Thats right, Season 1 episode 1 is 33...
You need to pick up the Miniseries first.

Pants. Thanks Trig. Amazon, thoughtfully, don't provide the miniseries for rental.

Re: Where is the start of Battlestar Galactica?

I think that the start is the mini-series. Season One started after the mini-series that was effectively a pilot.
