    I hate LOCAL PAPERS :(

Why..oh WHY......does the local news paper, here in the High Wycombe area......attract such LOSERS

The thing that is making me this angry....is the "Take the Star on Holiday" column...

I mean..... COME ON....get on with LIFE ... please. People.....stop doing this to yourselves.

Who on EARTH would take the local newspaper with them on holiday....lets say to Jamaica, as per this week.....and then take a photo of themselves holding it...and then submit it to the newspaper to be published

I mean....WHAT IS WRONG with you all ? Why do it? Who on EARTH would want to take aphoto of their holiday with a free local rag in the foreground?...and then be SEEN BY 10's of thousands of people? WHY

I dont get this at all

Maybe they can't read the local papers where they're going!

Local papers, for the most part, have always been and always will be not particularly too good.

But it's where most good journalists make their start. Once they've got out of the habit of starting any story with the words 'it' and 'local'

isn't everyone allowed their five minutes of fame - they possibly think the only way to do it is in the local paper...?

They probably just do it to get the £5 gift token for pound land

I think zaks point is something along the lines of why are these people sad enough to even think about taking their local paper on holiday with them to be photographed with it and then go to the effort of developing the phots and actually sending them in..

I get the Wycombe Star too. I remember my favourite headline.

"Soup found in baked bean tin"

    I should have kept it...
