    "Filler" Words... ARGH!!!

Is it just me....? ...or do people who use "filler" words all the time really wind you up?!

I was in a meeting today for 2 1/2 HOURS, and I swear, it could have been HALF the time if people hadn't continued using stupid "filler" words.
One person in particular kept on saying "obviously" EVERY OTHER WORD! Other words such as "you know", "basically"...etc. Oh it was just getting silly.

I obviously got bored, you know... and you know, basically, started to keep, basically, a log of, you know, how many times basically, they obviously said it and basically, I ran out of well, obviously, paper, you know?

Honestly, it was obvioulsy awful, you know?

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.

'Fraid I'm guilty I can't help it..... I say "right" far far too often when I'm trying to demonstrate a new piece of kit... It's terrible and I feel like such an idiot whenever one fires out

hey mate thanks - you've just made me feel better I've realised that I too, teach muppets how to use things, and therefore have to say the annoying things....

But unfortunately it bleeds over into real life too much..

It might not count as a filler, but I've been picked up on saying "You'd think so, wouldn't you?" more often that can be healthy..

One of my lecturers at uni used to use "you know" all the time... I started to keep track on how many times he said it during a 1 hour lecturer.. 70 odd times if i remember correctly. That's more than once a minute!!!! He was bloody annoying... each week it was the same too.
