It's certainly the way forward, powered armoured suits for breaching parties would help save a lot of soliders lives.
Not to mention the secondary uses for emergancy services, imagine one of those covered suits with a sealed breathing system and cooling system being used by firefighters. The extra lifting power would be a real boon for saving trapped victims.

About time really, we've had the technology for better full-body armour for a while, it just seems to have taken the ideas getting into the mainstream (bet a few soldiers in Iraq muttered something along the lines of "wish we had Halo armour") to make it happen.

i would be interested to know exactly how the suit "knows" what you want to do? could be fun to build my own... hehe
