I have actually watched it now... Hey there is no burger. really, thats a shame... oh those wacky corporations and their crazy japes... no, actually I did not find it even the slightest bit amusing.

Remember the BK subservient chicken thing? now that was good (for its time)

I thought I was the only one who didn't find it funny. American humour just doesn't work for me

All of a sudden, the characters from the (US) Office seem far more plausible...

Personally, I prefer the Big King (or it's XL variant). But I suppose that I would go Triple Whooper when hungry enough. We lost our most convenient BK over here not long ago, and I've yet to miss it enough to go to the next branch.

Oh dear. Did you think it was real?

GBK sounds nice but silly prices. It's all very well saying that a high end BK is about a fiver but that's top price on the menu (and it's just over £4 iirc unless you go to one of the highway robbery outlets). If I took my family to BK or MD it's cost me £25 tops. If GBK's base burger is £6 then it would cost me double that to feed us at GBK.

Sounds very nice and I'm sure the quality of the burgers means it's worth the money but you can't really compare them to a mass market fast food franchise.

BK has better burgers but I find their fries inedible, just tasteless crap.

Re: can you live without a whopper?

bk's regular burgers are tolerable mainstream fast-food, if expensive for what you get

but their "specials" always taste identical to their normal ones. at least mcdonalds specials are a little different

nope, the mexican whopper (salsa, mayo, jalapeno's) was pretty much the best special anyone has done ever. descent amount of heat to it unlike the majority of "hot" burgers that really arent.

the fries are truly crap though, your right butcher..

Re: can you live without a whopper?

I just gave GBK a trial today, all per chance and me and my mate were hungry - all I can say it's one of the best burgers Ive had (commercially) and will definately be going back again to try out more of the menu!

When you think about it, it's not that much different, price-wise, from a burger down the pub - but it's a helluva lot nicer!

O'Neill's pubs | A uniquely Irish take on great food.

cheese + bacon burger + chips = £2.95. and they have had that on for over a year now. very nice it is too
