    Re: Imagine

As a system by which to organise a society communism works considerably better than religion....but that's not saying much

    very good point.

Humans can't do it, unless oppressed to do so.

but the principle is good..and I still dislike the useage of the word in England.

    Re: Imagine

Communism is a great ideal and it can work well on a small scale (just look at Cuba, bar 50-odd years of economic sanctions) but it doesn't scale up very well. You still end up with the fat, rich bastards at the top exploiting everyone else.

    Re: Imagine

communisim falters because of how it rewards effort.

Before i dropped out of secondary school in year 9, i'd noticed how content with been stupid, how lazy the vast majority of the poeple in my school where (hey, it was cornwall). Its no surprise that many of them are now un-employe(d/able)

Why should i get up early in the morning, do a frankly mental exhusting job, until late, when i could just be a refuse collector, and still get all the same perks.

it dosen't drive people to do anything.

better yet, because i don't have any kids, i would get less than the refuse collector who was churning out his 4th already.

Thats why communisim fails, why bother to do anything that you don't want to.

But why work as a refuse collector in this country when you could live a life of sitting at home, popping out children and claiming benefits?

What's needed is a kind of balance, which is why the internet works so well. I get products and services for free and I can provide some for free if I so wish. I don't have to though because the "free" communist side of things is ultimately supported by paying capitalist advertisers or future job prospects for the creators.
