well thats really nice community spirit, i actually have alot of interest in this subject so whats wrong with wanting to find out other people's opinions. It seems that the people who have put crass remarks on here have nothing better to do... I was asking a genuine question give me a break....
As its still in the public eye especially at the moment i was wondering if Al-fayed was wasting his time, i think people actually really gave a damn about Diana, obviously i was wrong. Great site this if you want to be verbaly abused....
Hehe, look at it this way:
Why come to a technical site to ask a question about Diana and Dodi? Seems more than a little odd that you sign up just for that.
If it really did mean that much to you there's thousands of sites more relevant to the topic than here.
Secondly, we've had more than a few people sign up and post questions about various topics, none of which have anything to do with the general theme of HEXUS and, after time, we've seen there's an ulterior motive... normally some other site or links to blog pages or some such other daftness.
So, given that you've come to a site that as far as I'm aware hasn't discussed the Di/Dodi thing AT ALL, you'll have to forgive us for being suspicious of why you really posted.
And finally, you may feel the remarks have been crass but perhaps those remarks are actually answering your original question, but with a third option you didn't think of: We don't care.
Sounds callous and, to you maybe, crass but hey, that's life. My Dad died back in '99, is anyone still going on about it now? Nope.
People die. Sometimes suddenly and tragically. It happens. Deal with it.
Whether there was foul play or not, it ain't gonna bring her back.
And you'll have to forgive my lack of caring for a woman who had an extremely privileged life, proved herself to be unfaithful to her equally unfaithful husband and manipulated the media to portray herself as some kind of modern day saint.
Walking along a carefully cleared path in Rwanda before climbing back into a Lear Jet for dinner in Paris... great charity work if you can get it.
To quote Morgan Freeman in Bruce Almighty "A single mom who's working two jobs, and still finds time to take her son to soccer practice, that's a miracle. A teenager who says "no" to drugs and "yes" to an education, that's a miracle."
And apparently 1040 people agree with Nick so far. Me included .
The other thing is you sound remarkably like the other(s) sounded before you who signed up, posted a controversial subject nothing to do with anything IT and then complained when people didn't go along with it.
Maybe you are someone else, but it all looks very much like "I'm a Psychology student, let's see what people's reaction to This is..." as (one of) the other(s) admitted to.
I personally think that this is one of the easiest communities to get involved in on the internet. Oh well.
