Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted

Just a white page with this text at the top:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72 bytes) in /usr/home/customers/hexus/forums.hexus.net/www/includes/functions_search.php on line 196

i've been getting this recently while trying to post new threads, some threads work, some dont, they are text-only posts with only a few lines too

Is this a post or has the forum died hideously?

What was the title of the thread that you posted? Did it have the word "good" in it by any chance?

It's a VB bug... we're waiting on it to be fixed but that's down to the VB guys, there's nothing we can do about it.

I'll assume that you did have "good" in the title then? As Nick says it's a bug within the forum software.

Re: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted

You could just temporarily increase the max_memory in your php config. Though 64Mb is one hell of a query for a (relatively) small database.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
