Am I also right in thinking that coca cola produce the base ingredient, a syrup, (no not a hair-piece Clunk) and ship this to the factories around the world where it's made into the product? And do these then have regional tastes or is coke just coke no matter which part of the world it's made in? I seem to remember that it did taste a bit different in the Far East or maybe that was just me.
Maybe some other flavouring ideas could be considered.
Coca Toke - with added hashish.
Coca Coke with added cocaine.
Coca Crack with added crack cocaine.
Coca Crap with hint of New Delhi sewer.

Because making one generic Coke ad is far, far more cost effective than making one for each type of Coke out in any given region. Advertise Coke the brand and the consumers can decide which type to buy when they reach the Coke filled, Coke branded fridge that they provide to just about everyone who sells the stuff.
As I said, it's not got as much to do with recruiting new customers as keeping the brand alive in the face of advertising from opposing brands and from the generally bad press Coke usually gets over its corporate practices.
If you look around you'll realise it's not just Coke that advertise like that. Gillette, McDonalds and many others are in similar situations, brand leaders that you'd think wouldn't need to advertise like they do but carry on anyway just to maintain their lead.
The one with a roof? A front door? Maybe even a few windows?
Back to the cola...
They can advertise all they want, most people ignore the ads anyway. But there are the few people that don't really concentrate while watching tv, and iirc, that's the sort of time when you're likeliest to absorb random info. Then you'll think back on it, and cogs may start turning... who knows, maybe you'll part company with a bit a cash too.
Um, is that even a word?Originally Posted by ME, in this very post :)
