Try millions, and I mean millions (probably 40+ million at an underestimate).

And no. Several parts of Windows are not only heavily encrypted, working back from compiled code to source is not easy.

Windows NT4 had appx 5 million lines of code.
Windows 2000 had 35 million lines of code.
I dunno about the rest but I think Vista has lots
