Cartoon shown in the 80's with a Duck

Ok, I'm not sure when it was originally made, but I remember seeing it between 86-88 as part of morning television for kids at the weekend (probably sunday).

Basically the main character was a young duck and after finishing its breakfast it would hold its bowl over its head and shout "all done/gone!" to his mum who would then let him go outside and play.

His mum would also make spider cake which he loved.

On one episode he wanted to buy a spinning top from the shop at the end of the road, but once he had saved up enough money to buy it, it had gone. When he got home it turned out his dad (who was usually grumpy and wore a flat cap) had already bought it for him.

That's all I can remember of it, so anyone know it's name? Its driving me nuts!

    ta!
