    What a day . . .

Got home from work at 8am, fell asleep on the sofa.

Got woken up by the postman, who had in his hands my second monitor .

Went back to napping on the sofa.

Woke up roughly 3pm/4pm, went outside basked in the sunshine for half an hour.

Took some more stuff over to my new house.

Checked my emails to see I've won the ebay auction ive been watching. So 47 Inch Plasma for the new house then! Result!

Then got stuff together, and now back at work till 7am!

Hows everyone else's Tuesday been treating them?

Its gone not bad, got 72% in my Cisco CCNA Stage 2 Exam at Uni today - not brilliant, but it'll do given the effort I put it - it seems about right.

Searching for car insurance atm though, I've found the disadvantage of being a young male!

Amusingly, Churchill are my cheapest quote - ~£1100!

It looks like its between them and Adrian Flux, who are apparently good for young 'uns, we'll see when I call them tomorrow - see if I can get Churchill down a few quid over the phone too!

    Car Insurance.

Something I've been looking at recently too - will be 21, 3 years ncb, no accidents/points/convictions. Yet still costs the far side of a grand to insure me on anything I want to drive....

Ah well, the joys of being a young male.

Hows everyone else's Tuesday been treating them?
    Got up at about 12pm
    Had lunch
Went on PC - emails, forums etc.
    Watched some TV
    Played some football outside
Played some football inside (Pro Evo)
    Now I'm here.

That's pretty much how every Tuesday & Friday go for me (and half Wednesday).

The life of being a student - 2 and a half days a week at college, the rest at home

Just had 5 days off - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday (bank hol), Tuesday

    Re: What a day . . .

Mine was ok, Got up lesuirly, went out to see the other half. Got lost round the back lanes (on purpose) to remind myself what a cracking car the 106 really is. Reminded me I need it lowering though though as it's a touch too wallowy.

    Had a good meal.

    Took some good camera shots.

    Went home.

    Re: What a day . . .

Had a phone call to sort out some coding work - just a quick and simple kiosk job). Made a packed lunch, loaded up the car, headed down to my parent's place to collect my kayak (more space for storage there). Spent the afternoon paddling along the river Fal, beached up on an isolated area at sat in the sunshine eating my lunch (had a pleasant surprise paddling back when I heard a sniffly nose pop out of the water right behind me - one of the estuary seals surfacing for air). Headed back and got home in time for Battlestar Galactica. Went from pasty white to sun and sea salt burnt in a few hours.

Today it's recovering from aches and pains and sunburn.
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

Your more than welcome to come down, if ever your Newbury way!

I got a second 20 inch widescreen Samsung so I actually have matching dual's!

The plasma is actually a Plasma moniter, its a Fudjitsu (SP?) job with many inputs! which is gonna get hooked up to the 360, a set of speakers, and possibly my pc, or a cheap media pc that il assemble.

We've got a 50 inch version at work, which at night gets used for Guitar hero, and some film watching off USB hard drives, and although the res isnt that good for the size, its def watchable! + I got it for £230!

You gonna go for the home cinema aproach?

    Re: What a day . . .

Already got a 42" SD plasma (Relisys pannel) with HTPC and surround sound. Need to upgrade the HTPC to be HD capable and a PCI-e motherboard. A new AV reciever would be good too, with more flexible digital inputs (current amp isn't great and only one optical in).

    Re: What a day . . .

    Sounds good!
Ive just realised I cant use my main pc anyways, cause both DVI slots will be taken by my dual's.

So cheapish media pc is gonna have to be on the cards!

Unless I just stream media from my main pc to either the xbox or ps3?

Sound wise until my budget gets significantly larger, im just using my Sony system hooked up to the t.v.
