Hi All,
Can you guys recommend (preferably from personal experience) a good (legal) music download service?
I've finally decided that there might be something in this paid music downloading thing. Since I left Uni a few years back, I got back into buying CDs, but more and more I find myself wanting to buy the odd slightly obscure track, without buying a whole CD, and preferably "right now". (blame late night radio 2)
Anyway, what I'm after is:
1. Decent quality (when these things first started a few years back, they all seemed to be flogging 128kbps tracks, which was rubbish even then.)
2. MP3 - (I don't have an Ipod, and I'm not going to get one, or any other proprietary player).
3. DRM - I'm not fundamentally opposed to DRM, but as mentioned I want this stuff to work on a generic (cheap) player, and WMP/Winamp/trayplay/whatever.
4. - less vital - a Huuuuuuuge selection of stuff. I don't want to download the Radio 1 playlist (shudder) I want to download obscure interesting stuff that is hard to find in Zavvi and all the other drossy mainstream highstreet shops.
Cheers in advance,
Andrew.
