I know it wasn't intended as being upsetting, but try to see it from the perspective of a woman. These kinds of jokes are not rare at all, and make life harder for the intelligent woman. I know you only meant it jovially, but I suspect some other posters might have interpreted it as being more a 'truth' (I won't name names, you can probably guess...).

Back when I was a newcomer here, I found the system very useful for evaluating posters - it really made the misers and trolls stand out, and made debates with them less stressful as I knew what they were.

You know what the irony of this is? From the majority of your posts, you do deserve those thanks, just not through being underhanded I didn't realise what it did initially, and was actually about to thank you for sending me back to the thread when I spotted... and was annoyed that I couldn't then thank for it
