Can someone suggest a way to do this?

    1. Click Start -> Control Panel -> Internet Options.
    2. Click “Security” tab, mark the zone “Local intranet”, and click the “Sites” button.
    3. Un-tick “Automatically detect intranet network”
    4. Tick “Include all local (intranet) sites not listed in other zones” and “Include all network paths (UNCs)”

Ideas or scripts would be great.. thanks
there's probably a registry setting somewhere, all it would take is exporting it to a .reg file and running once you have deployed a new system... just need to find where abouts in the registry this is...

[e!] - here is a useful page about it by microsoft. that should sort you out

Thanks for trying. Its a new issue that came with SP3 and IE7 and I've tried Registry tweaks (with RegShot to identify where) but the locations are not specific. The only reliable fix involves human intervention so I thought a script I could click on after install would make it less tiresome.
