    Re: Honda's "Live" ad

I have to admit that Honda have done a brilliant job at creating awareness and a really friendly profile. The calming voice on most of the voice overs and radio commercials does a great job at making them seem really nice people.

I've never actually been to a Honda dealership (did have a second hand Prelude for a while though), but no doubt the salesmen are just as hard-nosed and pushy as the rest of the other manufacturers.

    Re: Honda's "Live" ad

I have been in a Honda dealership, and didn't find them at all pushy. Mind you, other major dealers I've been to in recent years haven't been pushy, either. Certainly, with me, a salesman (or woman) that gets too pushy is going to find themselves addressing my rear as I leave. Maybe they've got that message.

Well great ad and I really like the brand too. One of first cars manufacturers to show early concern about low consumption and hybrid technologies.

My parents were recently buying a new car and had their eyes on the BMW 230d. Managed to change their minds to buy the new Honda Accord truly a great car don’t think they regret it also.

They were also very complementary about the staff

Hmm sarcasm? not sure, but I do find it hard for sellers just to get what you asked without trying to sell you a whole bunch of other stuff.

    Re: Honda's "Live" ad

Not at all, I just walked into the dealership told him what I wanted and that I was prepared to pay for it all then and there. He obliged, got me the car I was after and I bought it the next weekend.

Maybe they think you can be sold to? My experience mirrors Salazaar's (generally, I mean, not in relation to Honda specifically). Perhaps it's because they sense that if they push, they'll lose me completely. Anyone seeking to sell to me better be able to sense that 'softly, softly' works better.
