    When gaming fades into reality...

I'm staring at the real world and reading sites like BBC news website, I see the word "skills" and brain clicks, "Blunt, Hand to Hand, Secuirty, Sneak, Marksman, (etc. etc. add Oblivion skill here)", I need to train my real self in that.

Or I find a ramp or a jump and think, strafe jump off that ramp = speed boost, lets do it.

Do I live to play games or do I play games to live...

Yes...me and my friend suffer the same affliction...

Think you've started to fry your brain sleepy with Oblivion, don't worry it will pass soon enough!

Did you manage to get the extra mods you bought working?

When you start raiding the cupboards for anything you can find to make potions to improve your alchemy skill then we'll get worried.

    Oscuros Oblivion Overhaul is brilliant.

You know you've played too many computer games when you're loading up the boot of your car and leave a long, thin gap down the side.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

Yep, the new add-ons are installed and are on my map (too far away to see if it actually works).

My brain isn't fried yet. It gets fried once my dreams are filled with Oblivion and Warsow.

My first post doesn't make alot of sense...both Oblivion and Warsow are starting to meld too...

Oh and instead of double/triple posting in my Oblivion GotY thread, I edited it 2 or 3 times.

I found the easiest way to imrpove alchemy is to eat stuff...good and bad.

It's starting to get bad...the obsession...as my mate in his blog mentions...university, Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale...Yeah that was me...and him...locked up playing these games eating anything that was too hand...namely cartons of custard or BBQ sauce.

    It's not just oblivion...

I caught myself eyeing up the green first aid box at the gym the other day just in case I needed a health boost halfway through!

Re: When gaming fades into reality...

Did someone say too much CoD4?

You know you play too much CALL OF DUTY 4 when…

    * you “cook” everything you throw for atleast two seconds.
    * you run away from dead bodies.
    * you are “stabbing” your wife, when she gets to close in the bed when you are asleep.
    * you yell, “Let’s do this” before anything you do.
    * you wonder who’s helicopter that is.
    * no matter where you are, you are extra cautious when you approach corners.
    * you crouch because it’s safer than standing.
    * when you see a briefcase in the office you run to it hoping to be the first to get it
    * When friends in a water gun fight at close range and you shout "JUST KNIFE HIM ALLREADY!"
    * When you tell a chef not to cook the food too long otherwise he'll explode.
    * When you ask your friend for his red laser pen to attach to your airsoft gun
    * When you blow up your neighbour's car, wanting that damned promotion
    * when you search Ebay for a UAV jammer.
    * the leader boards say Total hours spent:99days:23hrs:52min.
    * when the only way you are turned on is if your girlfriend wears a ghillie suit.
    * when you wake up and you are still playing.
    * you knock something over, it sounds like a grenade, and you sprint out of the way.
    * there’s a red dot sight burnt into your lcd screen.
    * before you enter a room, you toss your keys in first.
    * the second you wake in the morning, you say, “Lets do this”.
    * in stead of trying to walk forward you press down with the middle finger of your left hand.
    * when u call a soldier on CNN a Noob for having the M203 on his M16.
    * you see a news chopper and run for cover.
    * you see a spider scurry across the room, step on it, and yell “plus ten!”.
    * you watch the GPS in your car for red dots.
    * when you’ve reached rank 55 and still end up last every game.
    * It’s all you ever play.
    * you yell “Cover me, I’m Reloading!” when you put more paper in the copying machine at work.
    * u suddenly throw ur mouse thinking it was a grenade.
    * ‘rtyu dfghj vbn’ is printed on your forhead.
    * you search google earth for ‘Shipment’ and ‘Crash’.
    * when you stare at the deli counter on Bog and wonder what kind of meats they used to serve there.
    * you use to weigh 250 and now you weigh 150.
    * your dog joyfully jumps on to you and you break its neck.
    * someone bumps into you and you immediately want to hit the ‘melee’ key
    * your last name is Delta and you name your son Charlie Oscar.
    * instead of locking your car, u plant claymores or c4.
    * when you get a decimal overflow error on the duration played display.
    * You don’t die in a match of headquarters on shipment with 20+ players.
    * you wait for the “press space to jump over” icon when you want to get over a hurdle.
    * your done with a magazine and yell “Changing MAG”.
    * you can hear the gun fire and tell what weapon it is.
    * when dying you feel like really dying.
    * you wonder how many dead people are sharing your PoV.
    * you sit at home ALL day and don’t do anything but play CoD4, seems logical to me.
    * you fear the “clik click” sound everytime you enter a room.
    * when your online name has to be changed to “I don’t want to be in your damn clan”.
    * your fat and obese, your ill, your children hate you and your wife has left you.
    * you hold your breath to steady you pencil while writing.
    * you are always looking up to your left to check to see if your radar is online yet.
    * when you are playin paintball and get three hits and turn to your team and ask if you should call in a uav.
    * when you ask your mom if SHE can cook a grenade.
    * girlfriend says it’s me or Soap McTavish. Toughest decision of my life. see you guys at District.
    * you took the time to read all of these.
    * you make a comment on this post.

Re: When gaming fades into reality...

LOL! Nice. It was kinda funny cos I was at a shopping parade late at night with a friend of mine and some kids were on the roofs chucking soggy pink loo paper. When I twigged what it was, I chose the safest route to avoid being snipped! heh, gaming comes in handy! I just wish I had some nades to chuck back at them.

Re: When gaming fades into reality...

I installed Xfire to see how many hours I log on Warsow and also Oblivion when I got it. So far, it's a scary value for me.

I seem to naturally want to try and sneak everywhere...and I keep looking out the window for my horse, as it has a habit of wandering about in Oblivion.

In the past I have suffered from image retention of game images. Weird stuff, and my dreams were dominated by it too.
