Re: What to do with old stuff & boxes?

This thread seems vaguely familiar lol.. it must be the season for sorting jiffy bags, just been doing that very thing. Anyone else find you never have the right jiffy bag for the thing you want to pack.. even though you could've sworn you have every size/shape known to man? Especially when you're trying to remember which of its 6 dimensions will take it from a lettery packet to a thinner but larger packety parcel, & up a whacking price bracket.

any box you really really want to fit inside another is always ¼" too wide one way in my experience..

I didn't see your thread sammy, besides mine is better as it includes old stuff inside the boxes too

Also got about 30 sim cards here... some of them come with £5 air time (Virgin ones)... what can I do with them?
The person who comes up with the best idea will win 10 sim cards (if they pay postage)

Freecycle? Someone on freecycle near me collects old pc bits then builds up a PC and then offers it free to the people on freecycle...

Alternatively post in the Hexus For Sale forum - if it's working - and cheap there may be a buyer

I throw them away. Dad gets them out of the bin and adds them to his junk heap.

Anyone in need of an 8088, just shout.

Or... I've got some modern bits like this.

    i368 DX?

    Pah!

I had a "laptop" with a 386 SX with the external maths co-processor

When I say laptop, it had a handle. It was a weird Toshiba thing with a full length EISA slot and a smaller ISA slot. full power supply, no battery and a 4-shade-of-orange "gas plasma" flat screen that flipped up to reveal the keayboard.

Thing was about the size and weight of a fully loaded brief case.

Re: What to do with old stuff & boxes?

I actually thought about that... I could mix some hard drives in that people might actually want (soon will have loads of pretty decent hard drives spare)... but then I would feel guilty about the people who get the crap...
