Some tunes just don't get heard these days, or made light of unless they have something like Britains got talent to show it off.
It was the tune to the winning act on britains got Talent dance to by George Sampson

.... Where's the Any Key???
Isn't it supposed to be ridiculously easy to get to number 1 these days though?
Thing is this track was out a few years back and completely missed the charts altogether. As it has been said its a tad disappointing that it only got number one because of some crap tv show.
Although I doubt Mint Royale are bothered as its all money for them (or the label I should say)
I can't remember the exact figures but it's only a couple of thousand needed to be sold. Theres so little in single sales these days, mainly album/live moolay! Depends on the kind of music.
For instance, a rock/pop band I know recently hit number 99 in the singles charts and got into the top 30 for albums.
On another note, I bet Mint Royale are loving it. I fully expect a comeback, probably managed by one of the nonces off that damn tv show.
Thats all it takes now adays, a tune gets popular via the internet or TV, and its back in the charts, and at number 1?
YouTube - Volkswagen "Singin' In The Rain" I thought it was from this? Or is it a different one? Did that kid just copy the advert?
I thought it was quite an interesting tune remaking a classic musical song into something more modern, much like the remakes of the Elvis tracks by JXL etc. Each to there own I guess though! You have to surely agree that the VW golf advert that the song originally entered the chart for is quality though?
The curse of iTunes strikes.
A single doesn't need to have a physical release to qualify for the charts now, so in theory any track in the iTunes/Amazon/other-download-service-catalogue could get to No. 1 if enough people buy it in a given week.
And with real time "hot" lists, it would take much to get some momentum going and odd random things to appear out of nowhere.
does anyone know what the signature song they used is called?
I mean the group on BgT called Signature two asian blokes.
